Measuring Life

How many centimeters happiness do you have in your life? 50? 120? And success? Two meters? How long is your love for your partner? Is it long enough or do you long for more? If you compare your life to the life of others who of you thinks you are better of I asked my social work students. Nobody raised a hand. What is the unit of measurement for life? The hand in the foto belongs to a woman who is hiding in church asylum for one year now in fear of deportation back to her country. She was forced for 15 years into the military without any education. If she wouldn’t have done it her father would be thrown into prison. Now she is sowing her own clothes in our Global Fashion seminar. Happy because her small size can only be found in the children’s departments of our stores. But she doesn’t like their colors and design. Hopefully she can participate without fear with her design in our fashion show!
