Multi Cultural - Moving School

Workshop : „What a theater!“

In this project we will develop surprising and outstanding strategies for public relations of Staatstheater Kassel. The question is: How can we bring the theater to the people and people to the theater? How can theater an integral part of people’s culture in the city?

We want to find ways and styles of communication which are new for the city and the theater.
We want to show that theater is for everyone.

As a main cultural agent in the region the theater needs people as an audience. But do people need the theater? The theater is a world in itself. People from 32 countries are working  in three different departments: Theater, opera and dance. Workers produce  all kinds of needed material for the different productions. There is youthwork as well as big events like the concert in the park.
This unknown world to most people in the city wants to open up in a new way to attract new audiences.

We are looking for engaged students with various nationalities from all departments !

We speak German and English!
